Kathmandu, September 17

Ten thematic committees of the House of the Representatives, will get their chairs on September 21.

Speaker of the House Krishna Bahadur Mahara today announced the election date in the House. This is the third time the HoR has announced the date for election of chairpersons.

The 10 thematic committees are: Public Account committee, Financial Committee, International Relations Committee, Industry, Commerce, Labour and Consumer Interest Committee, Law, Justice and Human Rights Committee, Agriculture, Cooperatives and Natural Resources Committee, Women and Social Committee, State Affairs and Good Governance Committee,  Development and Technology Committee and Education and Health Committee.

The NA has not announced election date for its four thematic committees. Those committees are the Legislation Management Committee, the Sustainable Development and Good Governance Committee, Committee on Delegated Legislation and Government Assurances and the National Concern and Coordination Committee.
