House disrupted once again

KATHMANDU: Legislative meeting of the Constituent Assembly was deferred till 3 pm on Thursday by issuing a notice on Wednesday after the Unified CPN-Maoist demanded time to clear House disruptions. The Speaker postponed the meeting, which was scheduled for 3 pm on Wednesday, expecting a smooth functioningon Thursday, said a source at the CA secretariat. The UCPN-M has hinted that the House meetings, which they have regularly been obstructing after Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ resigned on May 4, would resume on Thursday with Dahal addressing the lawmakers. The UCPN-M has been disrupting the House demanding the withdrawal of the President’s move to reinstate Chief of Army Staff Rookmangud Katawal after the government had sacked him.
