House panel seeks clarifications from 3 ministers over staff transfer
KATHMANDU: The Legislature-Parliament's Public Accounts Committee on Friday decided to seek clarifications from the Home Minister, the Minister for the Federal Affairs and Local Development and the Minister for General Administration with regard to reported mass transfers of various officials including chief district officers (CDOs) across the country recently.
A Committee meeting held today decided to take a decision to this effect following a complaint by the Minister for General Administration Rekha Sharma that the Home Ministry did not take any permission from her Ministry to transfer CDOs.
"The Home Ministry did not take permission from the Ministry of General Administration to make the transfer. So, investigation into the case is going on," Sharma said at the PAC meeting today.
Meanwhile, Sharma informed at the meeting that her Ministry had stalled the applications submitted to her Ministry seeking transfer of other 21 under-secretaries and 22 section officers across the country, citing various reasons.
