HSEB assured of education ministry’s backing

Bhaktapur, November 19:

Education minister Renu Yadav today assured the members of Higher Secondary Education Board to support the organisation to effectively implement the programme presented by the board.

Addressing the 18th meeting of Higher Secondary Education Assembly at Sanothimi today, Yadav said the ministry would help HSEB accomplish its plans.

Prof Dr Upendra Kumar Koirala, vice-president of HSEB presented the 15-point proposal before the minister, stressing on the need to initiate science studies in the community, as well as institutional higher secondary schools. He also proposed Public Private Partnership programme for the easy accessibility of quality education to the target group.

President of the Nepal Teachers’ Union Mohan Gyawali, general secretary of the Nepal University Teachers’ Association Rameshwor Upadhaya, VC of TU Madhav Prasad Sharma, VC of Nepal Sanskrit University Bidur Prasad Poudel, VC of KU Suresh Raj Sharma and educationist Chaitanya Sharma were present in the programme. There are 1973 higher secondary schools running throughout the country.
