Human Rights Magna Meet to kick off Friday

KATHMANDU: The 8th Human Rights Magna Meet is all set to take place from Saturday, December 9 on the occasion of the 68th International Human Rights Day in Kathmandu.

Various issues including gender equality, Sustainable Development Goals and status of post-disaster management among others would be discussed in the three-day event.

Organising a press conference in the Capital today, the National Magna Meet Main Function Committee informed that the national jamboree was being organised every year for the past seven years to safeguard human rights, democracy, peace and sustainable development.

The magna meet would be inaugurated by Vice-President Nanda Bahadur Pun whereas the National Human Rights Commission Chairperson Anup Raj Sharma would wrap up the event.
