Illegal petrol traders held from Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: Five persons including two women have been arrested for illegally selling petrol from two places of Kathmandu.

Four were arrested from near the Divyatara School at Kimadol, Swyambu, KMC-15 on Tuesday.

One of the arrestees has been identified as Sanu Thapa Magar (48) of Sunsari Dharan. Police have also seized 100 litres of petrol from them.

Likewise, police have also nabbed Asmita Lamichanne (25) for engaging in the illegal trade of petrol from Sadabahar Ticket Counter in Koteshwor, KMC-35.

Lamichanne, a permanent resident of Janakpur Sub-Metropolitan City-4, is currently living in a rented room at Kalanki, KMC-14.

She would sell a litre of petrol for Rs 400, according to police.

Further investigation is underway.
