One held for trafficking
Kathmandu:
The Kathmandu District Police Office, Hanumandhoka, arrested Ram-esh Dhamala of Jyamrung VDC, Dhading, on Friday on charge of trafficking five girls five years ago after girls filed complaints against Dhamala. Meanwhile, Mahendra Bahadur Rai, 29, was arrested for looting Rs 3,600, a shirt and shoes from a taxi driver at Makalu Petrol Pump, Kalanki. — HNS
House gutted
Kathmandu:
A house belonging to Atul Manandhar of KMC-23 caught fire on Friday, which the locals helped put out. Police said a group of thieves had sneaked into a shop in the house and made off with Rs 5,000. The family members got to know of the theft only after seeing the fire.— HNS
