Scribe’s death condoled
KATHMANDU: The Federation of Nepalese Journalists (FNJ) condoled the death of its central member Bhairaja Pande. The FNJ prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul and expressed condolences to the bereaved family. Nepali journalism has lost an active journalist and the FNJ an energetic colleague at the demise of journalist Pande, the federation stated in a condolence message. — RSS
Plea to resolve crisis
KATHMANDU: Former prime minister Lokendra Bahadur Chand has said that the King is determined to save the country from crisis and that all political parties should sit together and resolve the problem. Speaking at a talk programme on Tuesday on the “Role of monarchy for national unity” organised by the programme’s sub-committee constituted under the birthday civil main celebration committee organised to mark the 34th birthday of Crown Prince, the RPP leader Chand said political parties should undergo self-criticism and give due attention to restoring peace in the country. — RSS
PM’s condolence message
KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that he has been deeply saddened to learn of the demise of former minister of state and Nepali Congress (Democratic) general convention member, Bishnukarma Tumbahamfe, father of the party’s Terhathum district secretary, Sanjaya Tumbahamfe.
