SAFMA condemns

KATHMANDU: The South Asia Free Media Association (SAFMA) has condemned the attack on its general secretary Imtiaz Alam by unidentified youths and urged the Government of Pakistan to probe into the incident. "We strongly deplore the attack on a journalist and an advocate for peace and human rights," said South Asia Free Media Association president Reazuddin Ahmed in its press statement issued on Saturday in the capital.A gang of unidentified youths had attacked Alam with hockey sticks and rods when he was on his way home from the SAFMA office on Wednesday night.
