Training for VDC staff
KATHMANDU: A six-day long capacity building training was organised for technicians of the Bhaktapur VDCs. A total of 16 technical staff of the VDCs participated in the training. Inaugurating the same on Monday, DDC chairman Surendra Pratap Shah, said there is a need for training to enhance the capability of the technical staff for the development of rural areas. — RSS
NC(D) plea to free cadre
KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (Democratic) has demanded protection and release of Shekh Dhwosta Mahammad, former chairman of Gaur municipality Ward-10, Rautahat, who was abducted by Maoists a few days ago. In a release issued on Tuesday, it has requested activists and other bodies to make efforts for Mahammad release. — RSS
