Kids’ story-writing contest

Kathmandu: Ketaketi.org, the first Nepali monthly e-magazine for children, is going to organise national children’s story writing competition. The magazine has requested the child litterateurs to submit stories for four categories of readers: primary level, lower-secondary level, secondary level and open. Two writers in each category will be awarded with ‘Ketaketi honour’ and cash prize during the 40th Children’s Day. Furthermore, a children’s book comprising of the outstanding stories will also be published afterwards. The magazine is also going to award 102 children, who are winner of the Room to Read competition. The children will be given English books on world child literature worth $4 to 16. Altogether 773 children had participated in the competition. — HNS
