Custody extended
Kathmandu: Kathmandu District Court on Monday granted permission to keep Umesh Gurung, co-accused of murdering Rakesh Limbu, the proprietor of Babylon Discotheque, in police custody. The court granted permission to keep Gurung in custody for 15 more days. This is the second time the court has granted permission in this case. The police had arrested him 18 days ago on murder charges. — HNS
Theft in Thamel hotel
KATHMANDU: Rs 6,000 along with $1,500, a mobile set and passport were stolen from a room at Hotel Discovery in Thamel. The items were stolen on Sunday night from room number 309 where Hari Bahadur Tamang was staying, police said. — HNS
Health camp concludes
KATHMANDU: A two-day health camp, organised on the premises of Saraswoti Higher Secondary School in Tokha, concluded on Sunday. The camp, which had been organised by the Lions and Leo Club of Kathmandu, Shivapuri, in partnership with Sun Quality Health, provided general health check-up, dental, eyes, gynaecology, paediatrics and family planning services. — HNS
