Rest house reconstructed
BHAKTAPUR: The reconstruction of a 300-year-old Ganesh Rest House situated at Madhyapur Thimi Municipality Ward No13 concluded recently at a cost of Rs 165,000. The rest house, famous for its religious and historical significance, is said to have been constructed during the Malla regime. The rest house has been reconstructed in the traditional style, said the Reconstruction Committee Chairman Ratna Shrestha. A fair is observed every Tuesday at the site. — RSS
Govt officials promoted
KATHMANDU: The government has promoted joint secretary at the office of the prime minister and council of ministers Hari Prasad Nyaupaney to gazetted special class and posted him to the vacant post of secretary at the Nepal Law Reforms Commission. According to the office of the prime minister and council of ministers, Executive Director of Water and Energy Commission Dr Kulratna Bhurtel who has been working as acting national director at Human Rights Promotion Centre has likewise been promoted and posted to the vacant post of secretary at the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs. — RSS
