Credentials presented

KATHMANDU: Newly appointed Ambassador of Germany to Nepal Verena Grifin Von Roiren presented a letter of credence to President Dr Ram Baran Yadav amidst a function organised at Rastrapati Bhawan here on Friday. Similarly, newly appointed Norwegian Ambassador to Nepal Phor Disnehen also presented the letter of credence to President Dr Ram Baran Yadav. Chairman of the Constituent Assembly Chairman Subas Chandra Nembang, Foreign Minister Upendra Yadav and Secretaries at the Office of the President and Foreign Ministries were also present on the occasion. — HNS

KATHMANDU: The Office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers on Friday said that Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has assigned Minister for Defence Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badaal’ to look after the portfolio of the Ministry of Information and Communications in absence of Minister Krishna Bahadur Mahara. The Information and Communications Minister Krishna Bahadur Mahara has left for Democratic People’s Republic of Korea at the invitation of the Korean government. — RSS
