FNJ president hurt

KATHMANDU: Three Federation of Nepali Journalist (FNJ) officials, including president Dharmendra Jha, were injured in a road accident on Monday night at Keshar Mahal on their way back to Kathmandu from Dhading. According to a press statement issued by FNJ, a speeding microbus, hired by Hotel Yak and Yeti, hit the car used by the FNJ members. Jha, FNJ treasurer Ramesh Bista and central member Jagat Nepal were rushed to Bir Hospital after the accident. Jha has his right hand fractured. He underwent operation at Medicare Hospital on Tuesday morning. — HNS

KATHMANDU: Police on Tuesday arrested two persons with a large number of fake caps of leading alcohol brands and fake stickers of the Inland Revenue Department. According to DSP Bikash Khanal, the police team seized 52,000 fake caps and 65,838 fake stickers from Raj Kumar Bhan-dary, 40, of Dhading and Milan Budhathoki, 34, of Ramechhap. — HNS
