KATHMANDU: The three-member investigation committee formed on Sunday by the Home Ministry to probe into the recent incidents at Kapilvastu and Rupendehi districts began its work on Sunday. According to a press release issued by the ministry, the team headed by judge Lokendra Mallik comprises joint-government attorney Pushpa Koirala and DIG Niraj Pun. — HNS

KATHMANDU: Minister for Foreign Affairs Sahana Pradhan attended a breakfast meeting for the Women Foreign Ministers, hosted by the US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice in New York, on Sunday. According to the Permanent Mission of Nepal to the United Nations, New York, about 40 participants including six Women Foreign Ministers discussed issues related with women’s political participation, economic empowerment, education and justice. — RSS

LALITPUR: Heart to Heart Centre on Sunday organised an awareness rally and blood donation programme on the occasion of the World Heart Day.
