Story conference

KATHMANDU: The Prasfutan Pariwar on Saturday held the second Ekadeshma contemporary Nepali story-telling conference, where five emerging storywriters recited their stories. Dr Benju Sharma, Geeta Keshari, Mahesh Bikram Shah, Rajendra Parajuli, Deepak Lohani and Anmolmani told their stories at the function held at Panipokhari. The conference is being organised on every last Saturday of Nepali month. According to Deepak Lohani, the coordinator of the pariwar, the next conference will be held in the Teej festival. — HNS

Contraband seized

MADHYAPUR THIMI: YCL cadres confiscated the sandals and shoes worth to thousands of rupees being imported illegally from Khasa to Kathmandu. A team of the YCL led by district in-charge Dip Shikha seized the sandals and shoes loaded in the vehicles as they raided the vehicles after suspecting at Nalinchowk along the Araniko Highway, said a cadre of YCL Aakrosh. The YCL has submitted arrested drivers Rupesh Shrestha and Raju Shrestha along with the vehicles to the Revenue Office, Pulchowk. — RSS
