NSU marks BP Day

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Students Union (NSU) has been organising a week-long programme to mark 26th BP Memorial Day. On Friday, a blood donation drive was held at the Public Youth Campus.The NSU also organised a free health check-up camp at the Arunodaya Secondary School of Arubari, Jorpati on Friday. On Sunday, the NSU will organise an essay competition and a meeting of all the women, who represented its central committee since the establishment of the party in 2026 BS. — HNS

Computers donated

KATHMANDU: Education, Health and Rural Development-Nepal on Saturday handed over five computers donated by the residents of Kathmandu to the Basantaritu Community School of Sunsari at a function here. Speaking at the programme Bidur Prasad Poudel, vice-chancellor of the Nepal Sanskrit University, said the plan to make computers accessible nationwide within 5-year will be possible if the locals of Kathmandu would chip in for the cause. — HNS
