Four found dead
KATHMANDU: Four persons were found dead in the capital on Wednesday. The body of a six-year-old, Bhawani Rai, was found in a house in Naxal. Police found a 50-year-old man dead at Basundhara. Radhika Shrestha, of Indrayani, was found hanging in her room. Udaya Singh Baral, a cook in Para-Troopers Tranning School, was found dead. — HNS
Burma conference
Kathmandu: The 4th international trade union conference on Myanmar ended on Wednesday. The meet endorsed a 16-point declaration calling on Myanmar’s military regime to end forced labour and restore democracy. The conference organised by the International Trade Union Confederation was attended by 70 trade union leaders and representatives from 20 countries. — HNS
UNESCO DVD
KATHMANDU: UNESCO’s Kathmandu office on Wednesday launched “Seven Wonders of Kathmandu”, an entertainment DVD that provides information on the seven monument zones of the Kathmandu Valley. — HNS
