KATHMANDU: The Embassy of India has provided a grant assistance of Rs 1.55 million to the Lamjung DDC for the construction of a library building of the Marsyandi multiple campus, stated a statement issued here on Tuesday. HURPES’ plea to govt
KATHMANDU: The Human Rights and Peace Society (HURPES) on Tuesday urged the government to take immediate action against the chairman of the then royal Council
of Ministers king Gyanendra for his role in “suppression” of the popular April uprising. “The government is making excuses to save the king,” a HURPES statement said on Tuesday, adding that such a “weak attitude” of the government has shocked the rights body. — HNS
