Envoy’s farewell meet

KATHMANDU: Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Su Heping paid a farewell meet to Nepal Peasants and Workers Party (NPWP) Chairman Narayan Man Bijukchhe at Bhaktapur, on Friday. Ambassador Heping who came to Nepal three years ago is returning on March 8, after completing his tenure in Nepal. On the occasion, Chairman Bijukchhe expressed his thanks to Ambassador Heping for his role in consolidating bilateral relation between Nepal and China and also expressed his confidence that the existing relation between Chinese Communist Party and NPWP would grow further in the days to come. — RSS

Training ends

KATHMANDU: A training on the importance of rain water collection and its technology conducted by Non-Government Organisations Forum and Nepal Engineers Association concluded on Friday. The training was conducted with the help of UN Habitat. Around 62 engineers participated in the training. Environmentalist Bhushan Tuladhar and NGO Forum Executive Director Prakash Amatya shared experiences. — RSS

CDE in curriculum

MADHYAPURTHIMI: The Department of Education is to add Child Development Education to the curriculum of Grade 9 and Grade 10. CDE, essential for the overall development of the children is presently taught only in the B Ed and M Ed level. The subject will be added as an optional subject in the curriculum of the school level, said Deputy Director at the Department of Education Devina Pradhananga. — RSS
