Bhaktapur DAO’s plea

BHAKTAPUR: The District Administration Office, Bhaktapur, on Friday urged the locals to avoid criminal activities. A meeting of security personnel held under the coordination of Chief District Officer Kamal Mani Kafle, appealed to the people not to get involved in criminal activities and to stop taking the law in their own hands. The DAO also appealed to the people to inform security personnel in case of occurrence of any criminal activities in their vicinity. —HNS


Swine flu cases at 9

KATHMANDU: The government reported another 3 confirmed cases of Pandemic Influenza A (H1N1)- 2009 on Friday, raising the toll to 9 so far in the country. Issuing a press statement, the Ministry of Health and Population informed that three persons — a 74-year-old man, 23 year-old woman and 21-year-old man— was diagnosed positive with the influenza. “One case was laboratory-confirmed on Thursday and two others on Friday,” the statement read. Earlier, the Ministry had reported 6 cases of the flu in Nepal. — HNS
