BJP MP’s stand

KATHMANDU: Member of Parliament from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Vijay Jolly has said the political system to be adopted in Nepal is the matter to be decided by the Nepali people and their government. At a programme organised here on Saturday by the Nepal-India Friendship Society to welcome delegates from BJP, MP Jolly said the objective of their visit is to take account of the political situation of Nepal and to revitalise democratic values. He said they will present a report on interim constitution and parliament and political situation of Nepal to party President Rajnath Singh. — RSS

Japanese govt grant

KATHMANDU: The Japanese government is set to provide 60,000 semi-transparent ballot box and 8,60,000 security seals to the Election Commission for the upcoming election of constituent assembly under Non Project Grant-2006. According to Election Commission, the agreement to this effect was signed on Friday. All the ballot boxes would be available from March 15 to April, 2007, said Election Commission. — RSS

Boy killed in accident

MADHYAPUR THIMI: A boy died on the spot after being hit by a bus at Siddikali on Friday night. The boy aged about 12-years, who wore blue sweater, and ash- coloured pants couldn’t be identified and the body has been taken to Bhaktapur Hospital, police said. — RSS

Book released

KATHMANDU: Litterateur Indrakumar Shrestha ‘Sarit’ has come up with a new creation Ardhasatya, a novel which has introduced the issues of homosexuality in Nepali literature. It was released at an an interaction programme organised here on Saturday. — RSS
