Draft handed over

Kathmandu: The Supreme Court judges on Tuesday handed over the draft of the recommendation to the government on the interim constitution that was endorsed on Sunday, to the Chief Justice Dilip Kumar Paudel. The draft of the suggestions will be submitted to PM Girija Prasad Koirala. “We have on Tuesday handed over the draft to the CJ to submit it to the PM,” Dr Ram Krishna Timilsina said. According to him, now it is up to the CJ to submit the report to the PM at a suitable time. “We handed over the draft after collecting signatures of all the judges except Judge Pawan Kumar Ojha who was not present in the full court meeting. Ojha is currently said to be on a personal pilgrimage tour,” Timilsina added. — HNS

KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal Chairman Rabindra Nath Sharma and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (Rastrabadi) Chairman Rajeswor Devkota formally announced the merger of their parties on Tuesday at the RPP-N party office, Baneswor. Sharma will be the chairman of the united party. — HNS

Training concludes

KATHMANDU: The training for the Interim Task Force (ITF) hired for monitoring of management of arms and armies ended on Tuesday. The ITF members will be despatched to the cantonments before the UNDP team begins registration of Maoists’ weapons from January 15. — HNS
