NRC’s clarification

KATHMANDU: The government has not yet implemented the direction given by the Parliamentary Natural Resource Committee (NRC) to freeze the transaction of land and properties owned by the Royal family. Submitting the Committee’s report at the HoR on Wednesday, the Committee’s Chairperson, Prakash Jwala said: “The direction was given twice but it has not been implemented till date.” The Committee earlier had directed the Ministry of Land Reforms and Management. — HNS

Students injured

MADHYAPUR: Several students were injured when fighting broke out between the UML affiliated ANNFSU and the CPN-Maoist affiliated ANNFSU-Revolutionary at Sanothimi Education Campus, on Wednesday morning. The two groups had also fought at the campus on Tuesday. The ANNFSU had vandalized the ANNFSU-Revolutionary Office at the campus on Tuesday saying the students of the latter abducted three of their students. On the very issue, hundreds of students of both sides fought where 13 students were injured. — RSS
