India pledges aid

KATHMANDU: The government of India has agreed to provide a grant of Rs 24.47 million for the rural electrification project in Thori and Nirmalbasti VDC s in Parsa district. The Indian embassy and District Development Committee, Parsa, on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding to implement the project, which will immediately benefit 7,072 people. — HNS

KATHMANDU: Quality Circles in Education for Students’ Personality Development-Nepal is organising a three-day second national convention on Student Quality Circle 2006 from November 25 at DAV Sushil Kedia Vishwa Bharati School.
