Animal skins seized

KATHMANDU: Officials from the Kathmandu District Forest Office and Wildlife Conservation Nepal (WCN )’s field staff on Monday arrested two men with a tiger skin and two leopard skins at Tinchule, Boudha. According to the WCN, the duo — Babu Ram Lamichhane of Makawanpur and Raj Kapur Mahato of Parsa — was in this business for over 10 years now. — HNS

Court martialled

KATHMANDU: The General Military Court has court martialled two army personnel stationed in Gajuri, Dhading, after it found them guilty of acting against military discipline. The court was constituted to hear a case against Jamdar Madan Singh Aire and Sergeant Bhoj Bahadur Gurung. The duo had been accused of involvement in a scuffle with police personnel on duty at the security base in Benighat on June 28. — RSS
