Kandel dead

KATHMANDU: Democratic fighter and former member of Parliament Prithviraj Kandel died on Thursday morning, while undergoing treatment at the Hams Hospital. Kandel, father of former state minister and member of parliament Devendraraj Kandel, was 81 and suffering from cancer. Nepali Congress general secretaries Ram Chandra Poudel and KB Gurung covered his body with the party flag and offered tribute to him at the party central office. — RSS
