Women tow chariot
LALITPUR: On a special day of the longest festival in Kathmandu Valley, women devotees pulled the chariot of Rato Machhindranath from Lagankhel to Thati tole on Wednesday morning. “This is a special occasion as we get to experience how men feel when they pull the chariot,” Renu Shakya, a 40-year-old housewife from Nagbahal said. Shakya, along with over 500 other women, towed the chariot. The two-month-long festival kicked off on May 1. — HNS
