Delegates return
KATHMANDU: A four-member Chinese delegation returned to China on Friday after completing its tour of Nepal. The delegation came here at the invitation of the Nepal Council of World Affairs. It was led by Secretary General of Chinese Association for International Understanding (CAFIU) Xu Jianguo. The delegates held interaction with representatives of Nepal Council of World Affairs, Institute of Foreign Affairs, Nepal-China Study Centre. — RSS
Call for peace
KATHMANDU: Leaders of various political parties and student leaders on Friday called on all to make collective efforts to restore peace. At an interaction programme organised here by the Association of Students of Political Science, speakers expressed the view that an agitation against the king would not benefit people. Student leaders of various campuses also appealed to the political parties not to hamper studies through their activities. Speaking on the occasion, central member of Nepali Congress, Arjun Narsingh said violent activities of Maoists were unacceptable. — RSS
