Russian team returns

KATHMANDU: Russian religious envoy Guru Lama for Nepal and India, Ildinev Ayusha, and Assistant Justice Minister of Kalvikiya Muchkayav Valery left Kathmandu on Saturday after completing a two-week long visit to Nepal. The 12-member delegation invited by the Nepal Russian Cultural Association and the Shakya Foundation Nepal was seen off at the Tribhuwan International Airport by Royal Nepalese Ambassador to Russia, Hiranya Lal Shrestha, and Association Chairman Rajendra Bahadur Adhikari. The delegation met Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Buddhiraj Bajracharya and other Buddhists and visited Lumbini and other Buddhist sites. — RSS

New CD album

KATHMANDU: A CD album of modern songs manobhav was released here on Saturday. The songs were written by lyricist Tanka Sambahamphe and rendered music by Dinesh Subba. The CD includes songs vocalised by 11 singers, including Deep Shrestha, Pabitra Subba and Udaya Sotang. The Adibasi Geetkar Samaj Chairman Sanjog Laphamagar chaired the programme. — RSS

Dhakal in Malaysia

KATHMANDU: Minister for Information and Communications, Tanaka Dhakal, reached Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, leading a four-member Nepali delegation to the Sixth Conference of Communication Ministers of Non-aligned Countries on Sunday. The conference is scheduled for November 21-22. Senior officials of the Ministry and the Charge d’affaires of Royal Nepalese Embassy in Malaysia are the other members of the delegation. — RSS
