Training for deaf
KATHMANDU : The Deaf Association of Kathmandu and the Nepal Red Cross Society organised a day-long orientation for hearing-impaired people in the Capital on Monday. At the orientation, 140 hearing-impaired people were given training on earthquake safety measures. Raghvir Joshi, the president of the Federation of Nepal National Deaf and Hard of Hearing, stressed the need to organise similar orientations across the country. Sangha Ratna Shakya, a minister at the Kathmandu Red Cross, said similar classes will be organised across the country, too. — HNS
