KATHMANDU: Minister for General Administration, Krishna Lal Thakali, returned here on Monday after participating in a special session of the SAARC environment ministers held in Male, Maldives. The meet focused on the role of SAARC countries in minimising the effect of tsunami. The meeting agreed on a coordinated approach to tackle tsunami and also on setting up an information mechanism on natural calamities at the SAARC secretariat in the capital. — RSS
NUTA’s plea
KATHMANDU: The Nepal University Teachers’ Association has appealed to the government not to promulgate ordinances for the development, management and integration of universities and other higher educational institutions. There is no need of education-related ordinances, the NUTA said on Monday. — RSS
