Factory catches fire
LALITPUR: A fire broke out at the Bira Plywood Factory in the Patan Industrial Area on Wednesday, damaging property worth Rs 3 million. No one was inside when the factory caught fire, SP at the Lalitpur District Police Office, Rabiraj Shrestha, said. The fire was doused after eight hours of strenuous efforts by six fire brigades, the police and locals, Shrestha said. — HNS

Two killed in accident
KATHMANDU: Two persons were killed and two others were injured when a mini-bus with registration number Ba 12 Pa 1064 hit two motorcycles near the Lainchaur chowk yesterday.
