Cheaters denied bail

KATHMANDU: Kathmandu District Court on Sunday denied bail to four persons who were taken into custody by the police for cheating students. Ramchandra Shrestha, one of the proprieters of Moonlight Boarding School, Arjun Ramtel of Cosmic School and Binod Karki and Tilak Bhandari of Lincoln were denied bail, according to a statement issued by the police. — HNS

Anti-graft body’s plea

KATHMANDU: The National Campaign Against Corruption on Sunday urged the government and the civil society to declare the year 2062 BS as the ‘year against corruption’. The NCAC, in a press statement issued on Sunday, has also urged the people to boycott corrupt ones from the social life. The NCAC has sought effective action by CIAA and National Surveillance Centre. — HNS
