Health camp held

Lalitpur: The Volunteers’ Club, an organisation of students of the Kathmandu College of Management (KCM), organised a health camp at Mary Ward School, Lubhoo, on Saturday. Eight doctors provided dental and general health services to senior citizens and children of Lubhoo and it’s periphery. Meanwhile, some 350 locals availed themselves of medical services at a free health camp organised by the Bhaktapur Chapter of the Nepal Red Cross Society at Balkumari of Sudal village development committee on Saturday, a report from Bhaktapur said. —HNS

One held for looting

KIRTIPUR: Prahlad Mahat, 43, was arrested on Saturday for allegedly looting Rs 150,000 from Devendra Raj Raymajhi, a resident of Matchhegaon. According to the police, Raymajhi, who was inebriated, got off from a taxi at Chaubhar as the taxi driver refused to drive on a muddy road. Mahat met Raymajhi and offered to take him to his home in Mahatgaon. Mahat said that he would help Raymajhi reach his home. Mahat managed to get hold of the bag at the Chobhar jungle and fled with the loot. The police has seized Rs 135,000 from Mahat. — HNS
