Teachers’ release sought:

KATHMANDU: Nepal University Teachers’ Association president Prof Bhupati Dhakal in a press statement on Sunday asked the government to release four university teachers — Prof Saubhagya Jung Karki, Ramakanta Sapkota, Balkrishna Sapkota and Jagannath Thapaliya from detention, who were taken into custody on after the Royal takeover on February 1. — HNS

Army unit for Burundi:

KATHMANDU: At the call of the UN, the third team of second contingent of the Shree Mahindra Dal Battalion of the Royal Nepalese Army left for Burundi on a peace keeping mission on Sunday. The contingent led by Major Rajendra Jung Thapa includes 220 personnel including three officers. — RSS
