KATHMANDU: President of Indian National Congress (INC) Rahul Gandhi has arrived here in the capital today. The Gandhi scion landed in Kathmandu at around 2:00 pm on Friday.

He will stay over at Hotel Radisson in Lazimpat today before heading to Lhasa on Saturday. It has been learnt that he will leave for Mansarovar via Nepal for the much talked about Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.

The INC President had posted a tweet with a picture of Mount Kailash attached to a Sanskrit verse a couple of hours after landing in the Himalayan capital, perhaps hinting that his Kailash-Mansarovar Yatra has begun.

Gandhi arrived here on the same day as his political opponent Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India, returns home after attending the fourth summit of Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation.
