Indian Ambassador congratulates Deuba for Nepali Congress top berth
KATHMANDU: Indian Ambassador to Nepal Ranjit Rae has congratulated Sher Bahadur Deuba on his election to the post of Nepali Congress president.
The Indian Ambassador called on the Nepali Congress leader Budhanilkantha today and congratulated him on behalf of Indian government and on his own for being elected the president of the country's largest political party that led the democratic movements in Nepal, according to Badri Sigdel, the chairman of Nepal Press Union
During the meeting that lasted for around 30 minutes, Rae said India wants to see peace, stability and prosperity in Nepal.
In response, Deuba said that the Nepal-India relations were harmonious for centuries and expressed the confidence that it would further strengthen in the future.
