Ambassador of India to Nepal, Naveen Srivastava, presented his letter of credence to President Bidya Devi Bhandari amid a special ceremony held at the President's Office, Sheetal Niwas, on Thursday.
Ambassador Srivastava also paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba after presenting his credentials. He is the 26th ambassador of India to Nepal.
On the occasion, ambassador Srivastava conveyed the greetings from the President and Prime Minister of India.
He added that the recent visit of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to India and that of his counterpart Narendra Modi to Nepal had imparted renewed momentum to the bilateral relationship.
Srivastava also conveyed his commitment to take forward the friendly relations between the two neighbouring countries.
