Indian national held with cache of psychoactive drugs

KATHMANDU: Police nabbed an Indian national in possession controlled psychoactive drugs and other narcotics from Kamalpokhari of Kathmandu on Thursday.

Dilip Pandit (35), a permanent resident of Ramgarhwa in Raxaul, India and currently residing in Kamalpokhari, was working at Arya Pharma Lab Pvt Ltd in Kamalpokhari.

Police also confiscated a huge cache of controlled psychoactive drugs which Pandit had kept inside a godown at Sanghai Plastic Industries Pvt Ltd in Patan Industrial Estate, Lalitpur.

The contraband weighing 471.88 kg in total was hidden inside 951 containers, said police.

Police said he would face a charge in accordance with the Narcotic Drug Control Act, 1976.
