KATHMANDU: A man died and another sustained injuries in an accident in Balmbu, Chandragiri Municipality-8 of Kathmandu on Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Yugal Shrestha (20) living in Balmubu of Chandagiri Municipality-17.

According to police, an Indian truck (UP 25 AP 1019) had hit a motorcycle (Ba 63 Pa 1417), while the motorcycle after losing its balance subsequently hit another motorcycle (Ba 67 Pa 8829) in the area.

Shrestha breathed his last while receiving treatment at the Bir Hospital, informed Police.

The second motorcyclist, Roshan Kumar Chaudhary of Inaruwa in Saptari district, was injured in the incident and is receiving treatment at the Bageshwori Hospital, located in Satungal.

Police impounded all the three vehicles involved in the accident and have intensified a search to nab the absconding truck driver.
