Innovative looters’ gang in police net

Kathmandu, October 22:

The police arrested nine persons, including three Indian nationals, for looting people by using allergic materials.

Four robbers were arrested from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-34, New Baneshwor, with materials they had been utilising for looting. The arrested Indian was identified as Sindhu Kumar, 22, of Motihari, India.

Another Indian national Sagar Gwala was arrested from KMC-22, New Road. At Balaju, acting on a tip-off, the police nabbed five people, including Manjit Das, 19, of Lucknow, from Saino Guest House. The police said the arrestees were under investigation.

Meanwhile, an unidentified gang today robbed a 55-year-old man of Siraha of Rs 50,000.

The gang looted Salad Miya, who had arrived in Kathmandu for treatment, at Lazimpat, the police said.
