Integrated plans to lessen pollution in Metropolis

KATHMANDU: Concerned officials and experts have stressed on developing an integrated plan to manage increasing pollution in the Kathmandu valley.

Speaking in a workshop on implementing the Supreme Court's verdict relating to visual pollution, and dust and smoke pollution mitigation organised by the metropolis in Kathmandu, on Friday, chief executive officer Ishwar Raj Poudel focused on integrated plan for the same.

DIG Mingmar Lama said that the sound pollution and traffic jam could be lessened if drivers were made responsible.

The metropolis legal advisor advocate Tikaram Bhattarai, said that implementing the SC's verdict was common duty of all.

Similarly, concerned officials have also stressed on restrict banning to wall painting as it might be increased during elections.
