Islington College begins MBA, MSc IT courses

Kathmandu, January 12

Islington College today launched MBA and MSc IT programmes affiliated with foreign universities.

The degrees will be awarded by the London Metropolitan University, UK, and the training partners Alibaba Group, China, and the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, Thailand.

Commencing this February, the course will be of four semesters providing students knowledge and skills of entrepreneurship, international trade and e-commerce. On the completion of the course, students can pursue their career and education in Nepal or abroad.

“Lack of knowledge about trends of international trade and platform for import and export has directly affected the government, businessmen and consumers,” said Sulav Budhathoki, the CEO of Islington College.

The course has been designed and developed to provide students an opportunity to understand the global market and equip them with skills to expand business across the country.

He said, “In the first batch of the programmes only 20 students will be enrolled and students enrolling for MBA programme can complete the course without any exposure visit to Thailand or China. However, the option for exposure visit will be open for interested students. With the exposure visit, MBA programme will cost Rs 850,000.
