KATHMANDU, JANUARY 7

The Embassy of Israel facilitated the return of personal belongings of Nepali victims of the October 7 Hamas terror attack and other students who participated in the 2023 'Learn and Earn Program' in Israel. The items, bearing significant sentimental value, were handed over to their rightful owners in a ceremony held at the Embassy today.

Ambassador Shmulik Arie Bass personally ensured the return of these belongings to Nepal. He met with Dhan Bahadur Chaudhary, a survivor of the attack, and six other students and victims' families, according to the press release issued by the embassy.

Ambassador Bass expressed his heartfelt support, listened to the victims' stories, and extended his best wishes for their future.

The Embassy reaffirmed the unwavering support of the people of Israel for the affected Nepali families and conveyed hopes for the safe return of Bipin Joshi, a Nepali hostage still held by Hamas.
