KATHMANDU, MAY 4

Japanese Ambassador to Nepal, Maeda Toru, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at his official residence in Baluwatar on Sunday.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed various matters of mutual interest, including strengthening bilateral ties and enhancing cooperation between Nepal and Japan.

The meeting also touched upon preparations for the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, which will be marked next year, according to the Prime Minister's Private Secretariat.

Officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were also present during the meeting.
