Japanese delegation calls on Prez Bhandari
KATHMANDU: A visiting Japanese delegation called on President Bidya Devi Bhandari at the latter's office in Sheetal Niwas on Tuesday.
The delegation led by Yoshiya Hirano discussed ways and means to further strengthen the bilateral relationships between Nepal and Japan, according to a statement issued by the President’s Office.
On the occasion, President Bhandari said that such visit would help strengthen the Nepal-Japan relationships.
The two countries are celebrating diamond jubilee of the diplomatic ties this year.
Two renowned UNESCO World Heritage Sites, Lumbini—the birth place of Lord Buddha—and Koyasan of Japan had established a sisterly relationship last year.
Japanese Ambassador to Nepal Masashi Ogawa was also present in the meeting.
