KATHMANDU: The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) has insisted that the government of Nepal enforce programmes on gender mainstreaming and social inclusion.

A seminar on Gender Mainstreaming and Social Inclusion Project was jointly organised today by the Ministry of Local Development and the Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare with technical support from JICA/GeMSIP.

According to a JICA press statement issued here today, the programme aimed at introducing GeMSIP and future perspectives on gender mainstreaming and social inclusion in Nepal through exchange of experiences of the issues of Nepal, Japan and other countries.
