Kathmandu, December 2:

Minister for Peace and Reconstruction Ram Chandra Poudel released a novel Patalki Preyasi yesterday. The novel is authored by journalist Krishna Raj Khanal.

In the novel, Khanal has compared the Nepali lifestyle with that in the United States of America, which he observed during his one-year stay there.

Commenting on the novel, professor Dr Govinda Raj Bhattarai said the novel describes and elaborates on civilisation in the United States.

Dr Bhattarai also expressed his happiness that Nepalis in the recent years have started writing about the lifestyles in foreign countries. Journalist author Khanal said that the novel was a presentation of the mixture of the western and eastern cultures.
